I Got This: An Interactive Story
I Got This is an interactive, first-person, educational story developed by the University of California Berkeley's Lawrence Hall of Science. This engaging program follows the journey of a young teenage girl who discovers she has type 2 diabetes, a rapidly growing disease in the United States and worldwide. Set in a real-world environment, I Got This focuses on the causes, symptoms, prevention, and social aspects of this life-changing condition. Created with funding from the National Institutes of Health and in collaboration with the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland, this program incorporates advice from curriculum developers at the Hall and Tufts University.
The interactive nature of I Got This allows users to actively participate in the story, making it an engaging and immersive experience. By addressing the educational aspects of type 2 diabetes, this program provides valuable information to help users understand the disease and its impact on individuals and society.
